it is well under way and i am happy about how far it is coming i am repainting the car soon i hope and there are side skirts on it i am doing the car for me not for everyone else ok i have had nothing but problems on both sites now i am just trying to fit up my car, if you do not like it dont look thank you.
and it looks faded do to the fact it is dirty and clouded over under a tree and i did take the plastics off over my wheel wells do to the fact is was starting to rust under them.
I will get my car finished and painted and you wont laugh at it anymore, i did not even buy the kit new it was used so thats why there is white stripes on the back of it.
when it is painted and polished it will look like a million bucks

Not sure what site you were on previously that gave you a hard time for your car, but the people on this site won't do more than tease a little.

I, personally, am not a huge fan of body kits, however, i RESPECT the time and energy put into a project, any project, and will give you props for doing the work.

If it's what YOU like, i say run with it!

Welcome to the site (sorry about the lateness ;D)

its ok i have had a hard time with alot of people and sites well mainly kcl and i have been put down and had even personal attacks from people on that site, i am just trying to get into a group that can respect what i am trying to do with my car and if i need a little help with things i have soon people that can help me out, i did not mean to sound mean or rude i am just tired of others pushing me away cause i am newer to the mod end of cars, i know the kit on my car looks funny do to its not the correct colour and it has i white strip on the rear bumper it is just do to the fact that i bought the kit used and the person that had it on his car put it on way wrong and tried to bondo it onto the car it came off of, i have a few things i have to fix on it and when i am done i hope it will be perfect, oh and i will be painting them the same colour soon as it warms up and i can do the body work and paint it, cant really do it when its cold out or it wont dry right and it will look really bad so for now i am 2 toning it. I hope by summer i can enter my car into shows and do some cruises with you guys. it may not be pretty right now but it is a work in progress.

Most of us have had to start with cars that were less than perfect, well i have anyway.

Totally understand where you're coming from...

What's important is where you take it!

And BTW, people on this forum WILL help, some of us will even get in and get dirty wink

It's not all that hard, just put it on and sand it smile

that said, the less you put on, the less sanding you have to do smile

make sure the area is clean & dry before applying the filler, and do as much "repair" without filling as you can, then when you put the filler on, it won't be too think...

If you put filler on thicker than 1/8" or 1/4" it'll start cracking and probably just fall off....

if i were in your position, i would start doing the body work....get it straight and then spray the entire car.

That, of course, depends on how long it's going to take to do the body work, you car looked pretty straight to begin with so that's why i suggest getting it finished up, and into primer, and then painted when you can.

The biggest factor is that you protect the metal so it doesn't start to rust.

And if i may... Great to see a girl interested in working on her own car! We have a few around here ... but it's always good to see another smile

well i dunno much on the mod stuff i have a stock z6 with a short ram intake it has power but i do not wanna over rev it.. not sure how good they are... I was thinking to get a B series engine and rebuild it then drop it in then keep the other engine as a spare.. oh what about trannys

building a motor can get $$$$ z6 is good and has made very high numbers for HP but they were bult up pretty good. to just drop in a b-series and the short ram with a header and maybe a slight tune in the ecu. i think you would be happy!

wow....everyones hating the D's these days...its all B series this B series that....turbo a damn D series! lol...aslong as your built you shouldmnt have a problem running boost reliably on that civic, plus you get the added...ive got a turbo n you dont! lol, and by the way,..,.,as for that bodykit being installed wrong....if you notice the nasty waves in it on the sides where the back bumper meets up with the quarters youll realize i had molded the bumper for that reason....it was screwed with countersunk screws, then fibreglassed along the joining point and feathered out with bondo....was going to do the same with the sides, but got sick of it and sold it haha....but good luck on the build, that front bumper is all the way from atlanta, made its way to a little town in Ontario called Lindsay and came all the way out to kelowna on my first honda civic....lol take good care of it !

Isnt that why you build a "show" car is to get feed back on it. Some may be good some may be bad thats the chance u take when u make a car look like that. If u cant hand one or two very small negative opinions on ur car the dont show it off. Besides like u said u were 16 i dont know how old u are now but r u getting made over something someone said about ur old car? Really who the fuck cares what other ppl think u build ur car for u so let ppl have there opinions. So with that said i send a big fuck you back...fucker. Go cry to someone else

Listen here buddy....you wanna come on here and be all fuckin bad ass, thats cool with me but dont waste my fuckin time. I dont even care the fact that you said what you did, ive had 7 other cars since then, currently building a Skyline GTR drift car and your input to me, whether its positive or negative has no affect what so ever on my build, HOWEVER when you see someone who is workin on a car and putting their time, money and efforts into making the car somethin other than the way it was designed, why not just compliment and save the criticism for yourself. Its pretty sad when you see someone driving around and you tell them that their "work in progress" looks good, and they reply by saying people on the forums are talkin shit about it because it isnt what they would have done. Show some fuckin decency, its a small town.

Ive been out of a job for awhile cuz of a broken arm and now i need sugury so ill be off for a bit and EI is giving me kibbles and bits so i have no funds for a build but when the time comes i would love to do another b18 EF i had so much fun in tht car and theres nothing better then the looks u get from ppl who just had there 30 thousand dollor car walked on by a 20 year old car. But at the same time my brother has a super minty EG that i want and if i got that it would be my dream to buy bretts k20 esspecially at that price

Hmmm. I love the crx interior way for then the ef but i dunno how fond i am of the rex body. Im sure if i had it for a couple weeks i would warm up to it. For my next car i dont care about anything in terms of the motor or interior i just want a rust free body. Not to worried about dents and what not just NO rust

Enough pointless beaks boys, take it to the PM's if you wish to finish this. I do agree that everybody is forgetting about the d-series, super small, light and cheaper than burritos in mexico!

...back on topic....

If u have a single muffler ur gunna have to get one for like a camaro and stuff it in there lol or a dual in dual out and cap one of the holes or something hooky like that I think shouldve fiberglassed the driver side exhaust hole off and made it single exit. But no matter how u do it people will beak dual exhaust on a civic

i dont want to do dual so i think i might just mesh the other side... even if i leave the other hole open some cars have that and i have seen people with body kits on civics just leave the other hole empty.. but thanks for the advice

Oval body mufflers sound great and are generally more quiet than a coffee can muffler aswell. Its all personal preference u work at lordco so you prob get better deals than I do on parts so u supply a muffler and I can do the rest 250 headerback.
