Coinciding with the final tear down & rebuild of my CRX, I decided to try to resurrect my build thread. This way, I can keep a log of the final assembly.

All work up to this point is going to be considered mock up, and this thread will be only work toward final assembly.

Chassis has been stripped of all pieces that are in the way of painting the Uni-body.

DA knuckles & crossmembers removed and will be refurbished before re-install

I decided that instead of having a black engine bay, I will paint the bay the same color as the car, then I decided that i would take it a bit further and began to remove all the brackets and seam sealer, in preparation for bondo & filling unneeded holes in the firewall.

And for those that don't know:

More to come... thanks for looking

Got 99% of the seam sealer off today, should be welding up extra holes next time, hopefully tomorrow...

Thanks for the encouragement guys...

Lots of "work" , but small results/update: Started welding in the extra holes in the engine bay. Started with the passenger shock tower because it seems to have some "dents" in it... not sure why, there isn't any evidence of front end damage in the rad support, but oh well, just more work...

This one can be considered a "teaser" for those with keen eyes...

It started because one of the bolts for the Fuel Filter bracket broke when i was taking it apart .... So i took all the brackets off... then i figured, while i was at it, why not do everything...

Anyone figure out what the "teaser" picture indicates?

so, takin a quick look here, did you mess around with the strut tower to allow to be super dumped? kinda looks like it has a little larger than normal bulge in one of the pics...

either way, get it done!!! lol...

No... i try not to mess with the structural integrity, just filling in some dents that were there for some reason...

That's not the correct answer on the teaser, sorry smile

And, yes, i've been working on this car everyday, from 1 hour spurts, to 8-9 hour days on the weekends sometimes... my goal is to have it completed before the spring...

If you got money finishing it by Spring should be easy man. Not too sure what that 'teaser' hole on the passengers side is for...

The hole wasn't the teaser :), it was the fact that the prop valve's mounting holes were filled in...

Brake Tuck ... Going this far, it's the next logical move...

Time is more of an issue than money at this point... i have pretty much everything i need to get it finished to a point that there is only "cosmetic" changes left, like rim choice, details, etc.

well, even though this is not going to be a b18c build anymore, i have updates:

Started working in the engine bay with this:

and because of the welding in the bay, most of the undercoating was melted off... so i re-sprayed the wheel wells with a truck bed liner..

As it sits right now

I picked up some primer sealer for when i get my bay smoothed out:

I've not worked with this type of paint / primer before, so it should be interesting. I'm going to spray it with a small compresser, but also a small hvlp gun, so we'll see how it turns out ....

Thanks for looking
