Maybe over the winter i will do a B20 V-tec swap. First have to see how many b20s i smoke with this b16 and myabe just build this one up haha Who knows tho what i will do over the winter for a motor build

K got the bay pretty cleaned up today. gonna be painting this weekend. Just dont know what color yet

I have seen that pic before and it looks not to bad at all.

Have to say I'm not much of a "off colour" engine bay lover, but the colbalt-ish blue bay does look good against white.
I cant help but feel that the engine bay trend will run its course soon, and people will go back to matching again.
Maybe you could start a trend and have multi coloured door jams, and hatch inners, and engine bay! Call it the rubick's cube look!

I think the bay might go a Light Grey knda like primer color. or maybe just something crazy like white? haha just have to wait and see

Trying to build a new car from the ground up again is not easy. and with hardley any money rolling in its already going to be tough to just get the out side of the car painted. so yeah thats why im doing the bay on the cheap side i guess.

why didnt u just leave it blue till the winter when u take it off the road and then paint it then after u save money and do it properly just my 2 cents dude

Thats really all it should cost extra to paint your bay properly. Sell some part from your first car. Hell, even a b16a2 cast manifold would be worth the $30.
Of course, I'm bitching right now because I just came inside from painting over tremclad in my engine bay.... Even after applying a good sealer, I still have some crowsfeet once the top coat was put down.
Do it right jason, you wont regret it. Especially when you realize that the extra cost is like going to McDonalds for lunch a couple of times, or going out for a night of booze and a hangover.

Bay is painted. I want my cars to be diffrent thats the whole point in building them. Im just into the two tone look i guess

I'm not trying to tell jason what to do at all. I talk with him around once a week by phone, just to help him out as much as I can with opinions and ideas or information. He did post that money was tight, and my last post was to say that no matter what colour he were to choose, the cost difference between "cheaping out" and doing it right is very little at all, like around $30. Ultimately it is his car, so he can do whaever he wants, but he did ASK for opinions, correct?

Got some updates but nothing too too big here. gonna paint the car here as soon as i can and then its on with the show! but here is whats done so far

Spent a good part of today sanding down the car and masking off parts. Should be up in primer this weekend with a few dents fix and the little tiny rust spot all done! Hope to see it in paint this week and on the road in the next 2 weeks if not sooner!

the fenders just looked flared out in the pic and i wasnt sure what motor u were going to use lol

hey man just curious, when you put in the 4 point is it legal to remove the oem seatbelt, noticed yours was still there? car looks pretty dope!

when you change seat belts you can only go from what you have better as in if you have a lap belt you cant remove it you can go to a 3 point, or 4. it has to be what you had oem or better

I have the 4 points in there and i also have the oem belts still in the car.

jason, just use your sd card from your camera, put it into mine, take a couple of photos and take your card out of my camera and put it back into yours and load the pictures, as easy as that.
